Again, this time with feeling

After months of toiling with various decisions, one as finally come to fruition; I have decided to reboot this blog. Like an out of date movie franchise in need of a new, darker direction, I’ve come to see this site, the past iteration of it, as a place needing to be remade.

These past few months have been a very interesting experience for me, one it which I’ve barely written at all, and when I did write, I found myself merely going through the motions and simply finding the most mundane of subject titles to develop for the reader that was probably not even there. But, recently i’ve had a re-awakening of sorts. I’ve begun to embrace the new situation I find myself in, and to that end, the need to start everything over is now evident. No more mailing it in, but really looking to produce great content that I will be proud to have online. Now, I don’t want to get too hasty with my words here. The content previously produced had a lot of merit on it’s own, and so I didn’t want to just flush it away forever. I, instead, have moved all of my older work to aldanzo.wordpress.com where it can have it’s own home off of the server.

So, we’ll see where we go this time with this site.

Good Times

The Church in the United States, Part 1

Recently, I picked up my outline for my Griffin Lake project and after reading it, decided that I should do some more substantial research to have a better grasp on what I looking to do. I am looking to develop a model of efficiency within the local church setting and for this I needed a better grasp on information about the Church of Christ in the United States of America. Now, with any research done, you’d hope that there would be a data set easily accessible for use for educational purposes, and so, who better to consult but 21st Century Christian, the official publisher and retailer of all things Church of Christ. Alas…

No raw data is available for download, which means that any information I’d look to receive would have to be extracted from the data presented in the form of .pdf outputs from the CD.

Extraction

I figured out a while back that what I really wanted to do was be able to develop a better set of information, and while i’ve been working on building a much stronger set of information, I have finally gotten all of the data I need.
